Star of the Week
Finlay meets ex England and Man Utd captain
On Sunday we were playing a football match for Saha Patriots against Oswestry Tigers, which we won 2-1. At the end of the match we had our photograph taken with ex England and Manchester United captain, Bryan Robson. Everybody was really shocked, but pleased to see him there. He was watching on of the Oswestry Tigers' players. I hope he thought we were a good team and that he passes my name on to Sir Alex Ferguson!

Tudors - Battle of Bosworth
Over the last couple of weeks we have been learning about the Battle of Bosworth. Once we understood why the battle took place and what happened during the battle, we decided to recreate the battle!
The children in Poplar and Beech class were divided into four armies (Henry Tudor's, Richard III's, Earl of Northumberland's and Lord Stanley's). We then chose one child to play the part of Henry Tudor and one to play the part of Richard III. We arranged our armies on the field and LET BATTLE COMMENCE!!
Jess and the Unicorn
In literacy lessons, we have been studying a story called 'Jess and the Unicorn'. It is all about a young girl, who buys a book from a jumble sale and when she gets home the book turns to life! We have used different drama techniques to act out the story and think about the characters. We will then use this to write our own imaginary world stories.
RE - God calls Moses
In our RE lessons this term we are looking at various Bible stories. We read 'God calls Moses' and worked in groups to act out the story. We had some great actors and amazing narrators, who remembered all of the important events when retelling the story.
